Students develop independence as readers and writers. As writers, students begin with writing good sentences, progress to paragraphs, and eventually multiple paragraphs, all while imitating excellent examples. Literature and poetry remain a primary source of delight and wonder and serve as examples of correct or beautiful English, attuning the hand and ear to order and beauty. As readers, students become increasingly fluent, eventually independently reading entire chapters of core literature. As students acquire a more detailed understanding of the fundamental elements of a story, literature-based discussions gradually engage students in deeper comprehension and analysis and provide opportunities to practice discussion etiquette.<br><br>This rigorous 3rd Grade curriculum is designed to be both comprehensive and flexible. Each subject is delivered through instructional videos and self-paced, asynchronous assignments, allowing students to progress at a pace that suits their individual learning style. Parents or guardians will assist scholars in completing assignments sequentially, ensuring mastery of each concept before moving forward. The course offers flexibility for families while maintaining high educational standards, promoting both independent learning and guided support where needed. This class provides students with high-quality instruction, including all required digital learning materials, class activities, platform access, and instructional services for the duration of the course. The total cost is $480 per semester covering all items listed with no additional fees. The course is delivered asynchronously and is designed for 3rd Grade.
